Yoram Globus (born 1941 in Tiberias, Palestine (now Israel)) is an Israeli film producer and financier who, along with his cousin, Menahem Golan (born Menahem Globus) bought the Cannon Group production company in 1979 and ran it throughout the 1980s. However, quite a few of the films produced by the Cannon Group have become quite renowned, including Mona Lisa (1986) and Godfrey Reggio's second film of the "Qatsi" trilogy, Powaqqatsi (1988). Mona Lisa is a 1986 British film about a petty criminal who becomes entangled in the dangerous life of a high-class Call girl.
