Scratch was a magazine about the art of creating hip-hop It featured articles regarding producers musicians and DJs that make beats for rap records and details the secret It shut down in September 2007.

Other titles with limited runs have also been launched under the XXL umbrella, including Hip-Hop Soul, Eye Candy Magazine and Shade45 Magazine.
