In the above Hadith predicted what is yet to come after Mohamed (Peace be upon him). It is interesting that after Mohamed (SAW) passed away his prophesy was fulfilled. First there was the Rashidun (Guided ones) Caliphate followed by non shura (non democratic) the rest of the former hadith is explained by the following. Hisham ibn Urwa reported on the authority of Abu Saleh on the authority of Abu Hurairah that Muhammad said: Leaders will take charge of you after me, where the pious (one) will lead you with his piety and the impious (one) with his impiety, so only listen to them and obey them in everything which conforms with the truth (Islam). If they act rightly it is for your credit, and if they acted wrongly it is counted for you and against them.

After the Rashideen came an era of corrupt/erosive monarchy based on no shura (election) and it took place then was followed by spread of a new form of despotic kingship in the Dar al Islam. The house of divisions in Islam such as "Dar al-Islam" and "Dar al-Harb" does not appear in the Koran or the Hadith. Many scholars believe that this is what is currently happening and this might explain ahy many scholars call for reviving the Caliphate (Khilafat) back.
