The White River is a tributary of the Green River, approximately 160 mi (257 km) long, in the U.S. states of Colorado and Utah. Uintah County (juːˈɪntə is a County located in the US state of Utah. Garfield County is the eighth most extensive and the twelfth most populous of the 64 counties of the State of Colorado of the United States. The Flat Tops Wilderness Area is the second largest US Wilderness Area in Colorado. White River National Forest is a National Forest in northwest Colorado. The North Fork rises in Trappers Lake, and flows northwest, then southwest. Trappers Lake is a Lake in the Flat Tops Wilderness Area, which is in the White River National Forest in Colorado, USA. The South Fork rises ten miles south of the north, flows southwest, then northwest, past Spring Cave. Located in Colorado in the White River National Forest, in the South Fork Valley of the White River, Spring Cave is a large not completely explored The two forks join near Buford in eastern Rio Blanco County, forming the White. Rio Blanco County is the sixth most extensive of the 64 counties of the State of Colorado of the United States. It flows west, then northwest, past Meeker (site of the White River Museum), and across the broad valley between the Danforth Hills on the north and the Roan Plateau on the south. The Town of Meeker is a Statutory Town that is the County seat and the most populous town of Rio Blanco County, Colorado, United States Downstream from Meeker, it is joined by Piceance Creek and Yellow Creek. The White River is navigable by small boats throughout most of its length. But in low water years the water level may be too low for navigation for a period of several months.
