Villanos are an argentine rock group, playing mostly upbeat melodic rockers with pop sensibilities and dashes of Argentine sonic rock and punk. The moment when 'Argentine' rock began as a distinct musical style can be traced to the middle 1960s when several garage groups and aspiring musicians began composing Songs and Lyrics

History

The band was formed in 1995, and their extensive touring earned them an increase in their popularity until they debut album in 1998 (Sacate Todo). Their following only increased following its release and they shared the stage with KISS in 1999. Kiss (also typeset as KISS) is an American rock band formed in New York City in December 1972 [1]

Their second full-length came in 2000 No Disparen was an even greater commercial hit, and several tracks from this album were widely played on radio and on television. This prompted the band to be invited on tour with two major Argentine rock groups, Attaque 77 and Babasónicos, cementing the band's growing stature, even as their overall style of rock is hard to define. Attaque 77 ("Attack 77" is an Argentine Punk rock, and now Alternative rock group formed in 1987. Babasónicos is an Argentine rock band formed in the early 1990s along with others such as Peligrosos Gorriones and Los Brujos.

Of this the band said "we are too punk for the rockers, and too rocking for the punksters, and too pop to be underground". Their latest album reflects influences from the Beach Boys, Elvis Costello,[2] to the pop style of Los Enanitos Verdes. The Beach Boys is an American rock band Formed in 1961 the group gained popularity for its close vocal harmonies and lyrics reflecting a California Youth culture Elvis Costello (born Declan Patrick MacManus 25 August 1954 is an English Musician and Singer-songwriter, with Irish ancestry For the album of the same name see Los Enanitos Verdes. Los Enanitos Verdes (Lit Their overall style has roots in Argentine rock sub-genres like sonic rock, with echoes of suburban rock. While their music is seen as too commercial in some sectors of the underground, they seem to get away with it, with stronger songwriting and catchier hooks than other similar outfits.
