VicRoads (Roads Corporation Victoria) is a subordinate authority which is the State's road and traffic authority in Victoria, Australia. For a topic outline on this subject see List of basic Australia topics.

Vicroads was formed in 1989 when the existing Road Traffic Authority and the Road Construction Authority were merged to form the Roads Corporation. The name Vicroads was adopted as a trading name. [1] It derives its authority from the Part III of the Transport Act 1983. [2] The main Vicroads administration facility is located in the Melbourne suburb of Kew, on the site of the former Kew Railway Station, with other metropolitan administration based in Burwood, Sunshine and Camberwell. Kew is a Suburb of Melbourne, Australia, in the state of Victoria. Kew railway station was the terminus of the Kew railway line in Melbourne, Australia. Burwood is a Suburb of Melbourne, Australia, in the state of Victoria. Sunshine is a suburb in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. Its Local Government Area is the City of Brimbank. Camberwell is a Suburb of Melbourne, Australia, in the local municipality of the City of Boroondara. Regional offices are located in Geelong, Traralgon, Benalla, Bendigo and Ballarat, among others. Bendigo is a regional city in central Victoria Australia, located in the City of Greater Bendigo. Ballarat (formerly spelt "Ballaarat" is a city in Victoria, Australia, and one of the country's largest inland cities In addition Vicroads operates many offices servicing the public in registration and licensing throughout metropolitan Melbourne and regional Victoria.
