Venkanna died at the age of 50 in Bijapur, Karnataka. In remembrance, after his death, people of Bijpur district built his statue in Bijapur town. SAPA Gaonkar[2] called Venkanna Naik as a scholar, an ardent administrator and a man of courage with determination. V. H. Naik's son Balakrishna V. Naik from Gonehalli was a member of Parliament fifth Loka Sabha in New Delhi, India. The Parliament of India (or Sansad) is the federal and supreme Legislative body of India.
