The Utah Open is the Utah state open golf tournament, open to both amateur and professional golfers. The State of Utah (ˈjuːtɔː or) is a western state of the United States. It is organized by the Utah section of the PGA of America. Founded in 1916 the Professional Golfers Association of America (PGA of America is headquartered in Palm Beach Gardens Florida, and is the largest working sports organization It was first played in 1926 and has been played at a variety of courses around the state. It was sporadically considered a PGA Tour event in the 1940s, 1950s and 1960s. The PGA Tour is an organization that operates the main professional Golf tours in the United States.
