Ullsfjord is a former municipality in Troms county, Norway. or Romsa ( Sami language) is a county in North Norway, bordering Finnmark to the northeast and Nordland in the southwest It is also the name of a fjord (No: Ullsfjorden) east of Tromsø and west of Lyngen. Ullsfjord (until 1938 named Sørfjord) was separated from from Lyngen January 1, 1902. Lyngen (Ivggu suohkan or Ivgu, Yykeän komuuni is a municipality (and a Fjord) in the county of Troms, Norway. The new municipality had a population of 1. 139.
On January 1, 1965 the Svensby area with 171 inhabitants was reunited with Lyngen. The rest of Ullsfjord, with 2. 019 inhabitants, was incorporated into Tromsø municipality. ( Romsa in Northern Sami, Tromssa in Kven and Finnish) is a city and municipality in the county of Troms,
