The Tuscaloosa Metropolitan Statistical Area, as defined by the United States Census Bureau, is an area consisting of three counties in west central Alabama, anchored by the city of Tuscaloosa. The United States Census Bureau (officially Bureau of the Census as defined in Title) is the government agency that is responsible for the United States Census Alabama (formally the State of Alabama;) is a State located in the southern region of the United States of America. Tuscaloosa is a city in west central Alabama in the southern United States.
