Trainwreck is an American rock band, a project of Kyle Gass's (of Tenacious D) alter-ego, "Klip Calhoun". Los Angeles (lɑˈsændʒələs los ˈaŋxeles in Spanish) is the largest City in the state of California and the American West California ( is a US state on the West Coast of the United States, along the Pacific Ocean. Throughout the majority of the film Tenacious D in: The Pick of Destiny, Gass wears a Trainwreck T-shirt. Gass started Trainwreck when he was asked to open for Page McConnell's band Vida Blue. Page Samuel McConnell (born May 17, 1963 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania) is a pianist/organist/keyboardist most noted for his work with the Vida Blue was an electronic trio fronted by Page McConnell of Phish and included Oteil Burbridge of The Allman Brothers Band and Russell [2] In December 2001, Tenacious D played a concert with Weezer and Jimmy Eat World in Value City Arena, where Kyle Gass befriended Erin Robinson, who described herself as a "huge D fan. The band started playing live in 2003 and recorded Trainwreck Live a live album in Los Angeles in 2004 with Gass and John King of the Dust Brothers producing. Trainwreck Live is the debut live album of the comedy rock band Trainwreck. John King, also known as "King Gizmo" is a Music producer and one-half of the Los Angeles -based duo the Dust Brothers. The Dust Brothers are the Los Angeles -based Grammy Award winning producers "E The album was released in December 2004 through Sony Music. Sony Music Entertainment is a major global Record label controlled by the Sony Corporation of America, being one of the "big four" record companies Trainwreck has toured America supporting the Reverend Horton Heat and the Supersuckers. Reverend Horton Heat is both a three-piece Psychobilly / Rockabilly band from Dallas Texas and the Stage name of its Singer / The Supersuckers are an American rock band They are the self-proclaimed "Greatest Rock 'n' Roll Band in the World

The band is recording its first studio album[4] with King and Gass coproducing. It is also negotiating with television networks to record a pilot TV show. Gass has said that the album will be produced by 2009 "for sure". [5]
