Richardson was born Cecil Antonio Richardson in Shipley, Yorkshire in 1928, the son of Elsie Evans (Campion) and Clarence Albert Richardson, a chemist. Shipley is a Town in West Yorkshire, England, by the River Aire and the Leeds and Liverpool Canal, north of Bradford Yorkshire is a historic county of Northern England and the largest in Great Britain.
