Gollob spent almost all of his career with hometown club Bydgoszcz until he moved to Unia Tarnów in 2004. Bydgoszcz (Bromberg Bydgostia is a city in northern Poland, on the Brda and Vistula rivers with Unia Wisla Paged Tarnów is a Polish Soccer, Basketball and speedway team based in the southern city of Tarnów. He has won the Polish Individual Championship six times and Polish Pairs Champion ten times. He has also won the Polish Grand Prix eight times in thirteen years.
Gollob was also a member of the Poland speedway team that won the World Team Cup in 1996 and the World Cup in 2005 and 2007. Poland are one of the major teams in international speedway and are 2007 senior and junior world champions. In 2007 Gollob survived a plane crash with fellow rider Rune Holta. Rune Holta (born August 29, 1973 in Stavanger, Norway) grew up in Randaberg Norway. The plane, flown by his father Władysław, crashed on the way to a meeting at Zielona Gora. Zielona Góra Łódź Voivodeship Zielona Góra (Grünberg in Schlesien is a City in Lower Silesia, in western Poland, with 118730 inhabitants within Gollob escaped with cuts and bruises after pulling his father from the wreckage.
