Titratable acid is a term to describe acids such as phosphoric acid, sulfuric acid which are involved in renal physiology. Phosphoric acid, also known as orthophosphoric acid or phosphoric(V acid, is a mineral (inorganic acid having the Chemical formula Sulfuric (or sulphuric acid, H 2 S[[oxygen O]]4 is a strong Mineral acid. Renal physiology is the study of the Physiology of the Kidneys Functions of the kidney The functions of the kidney can be divided into two groups

It is used to explicitly exclude ammonium (NH4+) as a source of acid, and is part of the calculation for net acid excretion. Ammonium is also an old name for the Siwa Oasis in western Egypt. In Renal physiology, net acid excretion ( NEA) is the net amount of acid excreted in the Urine per unit time

It gets its name from the use of NaOH in acid-base titration to estimate the quantity of titratable acid. Sodium hydroxide ( Na[[hydroxide OH]]) also known as Lye, caustic soda and (incorrectly according to IUPAC nomenclature An acid-base Titration is a method in Chemistry that allows quantitative analysis of the concentration of an unknown Acid or base [1]
