Time Residences is a skyscraper proposed for construction in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. Dubai (in دبيّ,) is one of the seven emirates and most populous city of the United Arab Emirates (UAE The dirham (درهم ( sign: دإ; code: AED) is the currency of the United Arab Emirates. A skyscraper is a tall continuously habitable Building. There is no official definition or a precise cutoff height above which a building may clearly be classified as a skyscraper Dubai (in دبيّ,) is one of the seven emirates and most populous city of the United Arab Emirates (UAE The Dh 400 million building will stand 170 m (558 ft) tall and contain 30 stories for 200 apartments. The dirham (درهم ( sign: دإ; code: AED) is the currency of the United Arab Emirates. [2][1][3] The project is expected to be complete in 2009. [1] The building will be the first skyscraper in the world to fully rotate 360 degrees, powered by a solar power plant at the base of the tower. [1][3][4] The entire 80,000 tonne structure will complete one full rotation through 360 degrees over a one week period. This article is about the tonne or metric ton For other tons see Ton. [1][4] This means that the tower will turn about 52 degrees in one day. [2] State of the art bearings at the bottom of the structure will allow the skyscraper to move at a linear velocity of 5 mm per second using a minimal amount of solar power. In Physics, velocity is defined as the rate of change of Position. [1] The building will have 12 o'clock markings on the structure, allowing the skyscraper to become a fully functioning timepiece. [1] This has led to the saying that this skyscraper may be the world's largest gadget. [5] The skyscraper is also said to be a "Green" building, as the building will use recycled water to water its gardens and solar power to rotate. Green building is the practice of increasing the efficiency with which buildings use resources — Energy, Water, and Materials — while reducing building [6]
