Sir Thomas William Meagher (26 March 190227 June 1979) was a medical practitioner who, starting in 1939, served as Lord Mayor of Perth, Western Australia. A native of Menzies, Thomas Meagher attended Christian Brothers College, Perth from 1911 to 1919,[1] and completed first year science at the University of Western Australia in 1920. Menzies is a town located in the Goldfields-Esperance region of Western Australia, east-northeast of the state capital Perth, and north-northwest Christian Brothers College, informally known as CBC Perth or The Terrace was an Independent school for boys situated on St The University of Western Australia (UWA is the oldest university in the state of Western Australia. He subsequently studied medicine at the University of Melbourne, receiving his degree in 1925. The University of Melbourne is a Public university located in Melbourne, Victoria.

He was elected to represent Victoria Park Ward on the Perth City Council in 1937. Victoria Park is an inner south eastern suburb of Perth, Western Australia. He was President of the Royal Automobile Club of Western Australia from 1945-1947, in that role he helped setup RAC Insurance Pty Ltd. The Royal Automobile Club is a private Club and is not to be confused with RAC plc, a motorists' organization which it formerly owned and the National Safety Council of Western Australia.

He was knighted in 1947 and, on 18 November 1953, married Doris Ita Walsh at CBC Chapel. He also served as president of the Kings Park Board from 1954 to 1979, chairman of the Trustees of the Western Australian Museum from 1959 to 1973, and president of the Western Australian division of the Australian Olympic Federation from 1947 to 1971. The Western Australian Museum is the main Museum for the state of Western Australia.

Thomas Meagher died in Perth, three months past his 77th birthday, and was buried in Karrakatta Cemetery. Karrakatta Cemetery is a metropolitan Cemetery in the suburb of Karrakatta in Perth Western Australia.
