The Enigma, born Paul Lawrence, is a sideshow performer, actor and musician, who has undergone extensive body modification, including horn implants and a full-body jigsaw-puzzle tattoo to make him a member of the freak subculture. In America a sideshow is an extra secondary production associated with a circus, carnival fair or other such attraction A musician is a person who plays or writes Music. Musicians can be classified by their roles in creating or performing music An instrumentalist plays a Body modification (or body alteration) is the permanent or semi-permanent deliberate altering of the human body for non-medical reasons such as sexual enhancement A tattoo is a permanent marking made by inserting ink into the layers of Skin to change the pigment for decorative or other reasons In contemporary usage the word freak is usually used to refer to a person with something unusual about their appearance or behaviour His tattooing process began on December 20, 1992, under the needle of "Katzen the Tiger Lady," heavily tattooed herself, whom he later married. Biography

The Enigma was raised in Seattle, and began studying music when he was six years old. In 1991, he was a founding member of the Jim Rose Circus, which he toured with until he left the show in 1998. The original Jim Rose Circus is a modern-day version of a circus Sideshow.

The Enigma then toured with Katzen, playing music and doing sideshow performances under the moniker "Human Marvels. " The Enigma and Katzen bore one child, a daughter, before they were divorced. Their daughter now resides with Katzen's mother.

Television Appearances

The Enigma appeared on the television show The X-Files in an episode entitled "Humbug," where he played a character called "The Conundrum. The X-Files is a Peabody, Golden Globe and Emmy Award -winning American Science fiction television series created by Chris Carter " Humbug " was the twentieth episode of the second season of The X-Files science-fiction television series created by Chris " In 2005, the Enigma would appear in toy form, as "The Conundrum" in Palisades Toys' X-Files PALz action figure line. An action figure is a posable character Figurine, made of Plastic or other materials and often based upon a movie, Comic book, Video game In 2004, The Enigma appeared with Mike Patton, Jane Wiedlin, Karen Black and Katzen, in Steve Balderson's film Firecracker. Michael Allan Patton (born January 27 1968) is an American singer Songwriter, Composer, multi-instrumentalist and Video Jane Wiedlin (born May 20, 1958 in Oconomowoc Wisconsin, United States of the Los Angeles punk scene. Karen Black (born July 1, 1939) is an American actress, Screenwriter, Singer and Songwriter. Steve Balderson is a Film director. He was born Stephen Clark Balderson on January 19, 1975, in Manhattan Kansas, USA The film had a very limited theatrical release but was released on DVD on July 4, 2006. The Enigma is often seen at various haunted house attractions in North America. His most recent performance was at Halloween Horror Nights in Orlando, Florida. Halloween Horror Nights could refer to The Halloween Horror Nights event that takes place at the Universal Orlando Resort Orlando is a major City in central Florida, USA and is the County seat of Orange County Florida.
