Tabla Beat Science is a musical group founded in 1999 by Zakir Hussain and Bill Laswell. Its style consists of a mixture of Hindustani music, Asian Underground, Ambient, Drum and Bass, and Electronica. Hindustani Classical Music ( Hindi: हिन्दुस्तानी शास्त्रीय संगीत Urdu: ہندوستانی شاستریے سنگیت Asian Underground is a term associated with various British Asian musicians (mostly Indian Pakistani Bangladeshi and Sri Lankan who Ambient music is a Musical genre in which sound is more important than notes Electronica includes a wide range of contemporary Electronic music designed for a wide range Laswell met with Karsh Kale (who had worked together with Bill for years), and they later teamed up with Talvin Singh and Trilok Gurtu. All six have written for Tabla Beat Science's music.
