Susan Elizabeth Rotolo (born November 20, 1943[1]), nicknamed Suze Rotolo (pronounced Suze-ee),[2] is an artist who specializes in artist's books and who teaches at the Parsons School of Design in New York City. Rotolo's book, A Freewheelin' Time: A Memoir of Greenwich Village in the Sixties, was published by Broadway Books on May 13, 2008. In it she explains how her feelings about Communism changed based on her feelings about artistic and political freedom. She says that reading "The God That Failed," which tells of the disillusionment over time of many Communist intellectuals, had a profound effect on her thinking.
