Sugar Ray formed in 1992 calling themselves The Shrinky Dinx, later having to change it (upon threat of lawsuit from the Milton Bradley Company, maker of the Shrinky Dinks toy) to Sugar Ray after the boxer Sugar Ray Leonard. [2] The news was announced on May 16, 2008, that Sugar Ray was entering the studio on May 19th, 2008 to record their first album since 2003.
