The Suez Group has most notedly been involved in water and waste services and reclamation. Sewage treatment, or domestic wastewater treatment, is the process of removing Contaminants from Wastewater, both Runoff ( Effluents Recently the company partnered with Chongqing Water Group. The Suez Group is invested in helping the Chinese corporation in its efforts to maintain a healthy environment through its business practices. The Suez website and press release offers information on the demonstration of their concerns and support for work to conserve the environment. [1]In the contract signed for the China water deal, The Suez Group will construct two water plants that will control pollution. In addition, an incineration plant will also be used to transform waste into energy in a environmentally efficient undertaking. [2]

The Group's Environmental protection practices are worldwide, reaching wastewater plants in China as well as Qatar. The Suez Group is contracted with Marubeni to design, construct, and operate a new plant. The largest treatment plant (near Doha) in Qatar treats and reuses the water for over 500,000 people in the area. [3]

With the production of electric power plants, The Suez Group remains environmentally conscious. Their Electrabel will use hydraulic power in the new plant in Fos-sur-Mer, France. The plant will be a GT26 Combined Cycle power plant with “reliability” a promise for low environmental impact due to the technology that will rely on hydraulic, wind, and nuclear resources for power generation. A combined cycle is characteristic of a power producing engine or plant that employs more than one Thermodynamic cycle. A mentioned effect of this is the reduction of CO2 emission made possible by the implementation of these systems. [4]
