Strings is a Pakistani pop band comprising two members, Bilal Maqsood (Urdu: بلال مقصود) and Faisal Kapadia (Urdu: فیصل کپاڈیا). (ڪراچي) is the largest city in Pakistan. Strings' roots go back to the time when a new wave of Pakistani pop music was breaking on the local media beachhead, post-Nazia and Zoheb, -Alamgir and - Muhammad Ali Shehki. Pakistani pop music or Paki-pop refers to popular music forms in Pakistan. Nazia Hassan ( Urdu: نازیہ حسن) singer (April 3 1965 - August 31 2000 and Zohaib Hassan ( Urdu: زوہیب Alamgir ( Urdu: عالمگیر) is a famous Pakistani pop singer of the 1970s who is in fact one of the pioneers of the Urdu pop music in Pakistan Muhammad Ali Shehki ( Urdu: محمد علی شہکی) is a Pakistani pop singer of Iranian birth The music videos, in their most primitive form, had started creating a phenomenon in the local music industry, changing the way Pakistani music was perceived forever. Strings scored hits, played shows and enjoyed the lifestyle of post-'80s pop stars. After a lengthy gap, they returned almost erasing from memory the period of hibernation with a string of synthesized hits and well choreographed videos.

Late in 2007, Strings struck a deal with Gibson Guitars, becoming the first sub continental band in history to create a working relationship with the famed guitar manufacturers. As per the deal, Strings will exclusively use Gibson guitars during concerts, studio recordings and music videos. Further, Strings will act as brand ambassador to Gibson. In return, Gibson will sponsor the varied endeavors of the band and also provide concert halls and equipment as and when required.

Faisal Kapadia is married to his high school sweetheart Seema Kapadia and they have 2 kids Armaan, Gibran. They live in Karachi, Pakistan.

Bilal is a Composer,guitarist & vocalist while faisal is the Lead Vocalist for Strings. They have live band members while they perform at concerts those are Adeel on Lead Guitar & Sharib on Bass Guitar.

Popularity Outside Pakistan

Strings is one of the few Pakistani bands/singers to achieve international fame. Pakistani pop singers: Were becoming very popular and started to spring up during the early nineties with Pop music and Rock music becoming more fashionable with Their popularity is attributed to the significantly different approach to their music and lyrics.
