Stephanie Dosen is an American singer-songwriter. She was raised in Wisconsin. Wisconsin ( or wɪˈskɑnsɨn (French Ouisconsin) is one of the fifty United States of America, located in the north central part of the United States Her songs have been featured on the soundtracks of Dawson's Creek and Party of Five. In 2006 Simon Raymonde, the former member of the Cocteau Twins who runs the Bella Union label, heard Dosen's music and as a result they worked together on the music that became Dosen's debut album A Lily For The Spectre. Cocteau Twins were a Scottish Alternative rock band active from 1979 to 1997 Bella Union is an Independent record label that was started up by Robin Guthrie and Simon Raymonde in 1997. The album was recorded in Kentucky and North Wales and was then released in the UK and Europe. Since then, Dosen has appeared on the BBC TV programme Later...with Jools Holland and on the Australian TV rock quiz entertainment show Rockwiz, and has worked with Massive Attack. Later with Jools Holland is a contemporary British Music television show hosted by Jools Holland.
