Stefan Reuter (born October 16, 1966 in Dinkelsbühl) is a German football coach and former player. The midfielder and defender started his career with TSV 1860 Dinkelsbühl. 1982 he played for 1. FC Nürnberg, first in the Zweite Bundesliga and since 1985 in the German Bundesliga. In exactly 100 games he scored 10 goals.
1988 he was transferred to Bayern München. FC Bayern München is a German Sports club based in Munich, Bavaria (München Bayern For this team he played 95 games in the Bundesliga and sored 4 goals. In 1989 and 1990 he won the German Championship with Bayern München.
From 1990 to 1991 he played for Juventus F.C. (28 games), but turned back soon to Germany and played for Borussia Dortmund. BV Borussia Dortmund is a German football club based in Dortmund, North Rhine-Westphalia and one of the most successful clubs Until the ending of his career he played 307 games for Dortmund and scored 11 goals in the Bundesliga.
He also played for the German National Team. All in all it were 69 games (2 goals) for Nürnberg (9), Bayern München (18), Juventus Turin (18) and Borussia Dortmund (33).
Reuter was part of the 1990 World Championship team, as well as on winning teams that competed in the Euro 1996, and the Champions League in 1997. The 1996 UEFA European Football Championship ( Euro 96) was hosted by England. He played on five teams that won the German Championship, and in 1984, a team that won the U-16 European Championship.
He was known for his speed on the field (100m in 11 sec. ), a quality that resulted in his nickname "Turbo".
Since January 2006 he has served as the team manager for TSV 1860 München. TSV 1860 München, commonly known as 1860 Munich is a German Sports club based in Munich, Bavaria.
