Biography

Stephen Ellis Garrett was born and raised in Louisville in a family of musicians. Growing up, he sang in the choir at his church, where his sister played piano, his mother was the musical director, and his father was the pastor. A pastor is an official person within a Protestant group of people and related to the positions of Priest or Bishop within the Anglican, Roman Catholic As a member of Playa, Static began his musical career under the tutelage of Jodeci's DeVante Swing, and formed kinships with fellow members of DeVante's Swing Mob such as Missy Elliott, Timbaland, and Ginuwine. Playa is an American R&B trio. Comprised of members, Smoke E Digglera, Black and the late Static Major, Playa is best known for Jodeci is an American Musical group whose repertoire includes R&B, Soul music, and New jack swing. After Aaliyah's death in 2001, Static went on to write for other artists; his later co-writing credits include Truth Hurts' "Addictive" and Brandy's "Come as You Are". Scott Storch (born December 16 1973) is a Canadian Record producer. Andre Romelle Young (born February 18 1965 primarily known by his stage name Dr Phalon Anton Alexander. (born 1975 in Memphis Tennessee) better known by his Stage name Jazze Pha () is an American Record producer In the mid-2000s, Static worked with R&B group Pretty Ricky, R&B singer Tank, and appeared on David Banner's 2004 single "Crank It Up". Static later signed to Blackground Records, label home of Aaliyah and Tank, as a solo artist. Blackground Records is an American Record label, owned by entertainment attorney and artist manager Barry Hankerson and his son Jomo Hankerson He was last featured on Lil Wayne's song "Lollipop" and video which was shot in Las Vegas, the first single off Tha Carter III. Dwayne Michael Carter Jr (born September 27 1982 better known by his Stage name Lil Wayne, is an American Rapper. Death

Garrett died on February 25, 2008 in his hometown of Louisville, Kentucky. The Commonwealth of Kentucky ( is a state located in the East Central United States of America. The cause of death was due to complications from a botched medical procedure performed at Baptist East Hospital in Louisville^[2]. It was rumored to be due to a brain aneurysm, which was confirmed by one of his relatives and announced by his former Playa band mate Smoke E. A cerebral aneurysm or brain aneurysm is a cerebrovascular disorder in which weakness in the wall of a cerebral Artery or Vein Playa is an American R&B trio.
