St James's Gate F. C. is an Irish football club that currently plays in the Leinster Senior League. It was a founding member of the Football League of Ireland in 1921 and became the first league champions that season. The Football League of Ireland, usually known simply as the League of Ireland or later the eircom League (from the league's sponsorship by Irish telecommunications St James Gate was also the inaugural winner of the FAI Cup. Newcastlewest FC (originally called Newcastle United are a football club from the town of Newcastlewest in Co In 1995 the club was taken over by a consortium with high ambitions, however only one year later, just before the start of the 1996/97 season, they pulled out of the league, unable to meet their financial responsibilities. They were replaced by St. Francis F.C.

They played in St. St Francis FC is a football club from Dublin, Ireland. Originally founded in The Liberties, St James Park from 1921/22-1927/28 before moving to the Iveagh Grounds.
