Srirasmi was born in Samut Sakhon Province to a family of modest means. Samut Sakhon (สมุทรสาคร is one of the central provinces ( changwat) of Thailand. She was the third child of Aphirut (Thai: อภิรุจ) and Wanthanee (Thai: วันทนีย์) Akharaphongpreecha.
