The Sopi Coalition (Wolof for Change) is a political alliance in Senegal. A political party is a Political organization that seeks to attain and maintain political power within Government, usually by participating in electoral Senegal (le Sénégal officially the Republic of Senegal, is a country south of the Sénégal River in western Africa. The alliance is composed of the Senegalese Democratic Party (PDS) and smaller parties, and it supports President Abdoulaye Wade, who is also the Secretary-General of the PDS. Parliamentary elections were held in Senegal on 3 June 2007.
