The Sooty Oystercatcher, Haematopus fuliginosus, is a species of oystercatcher. John Gould ( 14 September 1804 – 3 February 1881) was an English Ornithologist. "Oystercatchers" is also a novel by Susan Fletcher. The oystercatchers are a group of Waders they form the family It is a wading bird native to Australia and commonly found on its coastline.
