The Simpson Medal, a prize for Australian rules football, has been donated by Dr. Australian (rules football, or simply known as football, footy or Aussie rules, is a Team sport played between two teams of 18 players Fred Simpson and family since 1945. Year 1945 ( MCMXLV) was a Common year starting on Monday (link will display the full calendar It is awarded to the best player in a WAFL Grand Final and the best player in an interstate game involving Western Australia. Current teams The teams currently playing in the WAFL are Salary Cap The WAFL is classed as a Semi-professional competition and has a Salary Western Australia is a state occupying the entire western third of the Australian continent.

In recent years in interstate games, the medal has been awarded only to WA's best player as opposed to the overall best player.
