Shinda is the fertility god of the Ainu people. Fertility is the natural capability of giving life As a measure "Fertility Rate" is the number of children born per couple person or population ʔáinu (also called Ezo in historical texts are an ethnic group indigenous to Hokkaidō, the Kuril Islands, and much of Sakhalin. Traditional Ainu recite prayers of thanksgiving to Shinda before every meal.
