Scott Slapin is an American violist and composer, recording for Eroica Classical Recordings and Red Mark. This is a list of noted Viola players. Slapin studied with renowned viola virtuoso Emanuel Vardi at the Manhattan School of Music. The Manhattan School of Music is a Music conservatory located in New York City that offers degrees on the bachelors, masters, and At the age of eighteen, he was one of the youngest graduates in the history of the school. Slapin is the first person to have recorded the complete Bach sonatas and partitas on viola (originally for violin).
