Sappemeer is a village in the Dutch province of Groningen. The Netherlands ( Dutch:, ˈnedərlɑnt is the European part of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, which consists of the Netherlands the Netherlands Groningen is the northeasternmost province of the Netherlands. It is located in the municipality of Hoogezand-Sappemeer. Hoogezand-Sappemeer ( is a Municipality in the northeastern Netherlands. It is located to the east of Hoogezand. Hoogezand is a village in the municipality Hoogezand-Sappemeer, located in the northeast Netherlands.

Sappemeer was a separate municipality until 1949, when it merged with Hoogezand. ^[1]
