Roy R. Barrera, Jr. (born 1952), is a high profile lawyer in San Antonio who attempted to unseat Texas Attorney General Jim Mattox in the 1986 general election. A lawyer, according to Black's Law Dictionary, is "a person learned in the law as an attorney, Counsel or Solicitor; a person Texas ( is a state geographically located in the South Central United States and is also known as the Lone Star State.
