Ron Block was born Ronald Franklin Block in 1964 in Inglewood, California. Inglewood is a city in southwestern Los Angeles County California, southwest of downtown Los Angeles. He received his first guitar at 11 and first became interested in banjo at 13 after seeing Lester Flatt play on television.
