Living in a makeshift shanty in Cavite, they had to peddle food, collected bottles and newspapers, which were later sold in order to earn a living for the family. Cavite is a province of the Philippines located on the southern shores of Manila Bay in the Calabarzon region in Luzon, In spite of their condition, it did not stop him from obtaining his education.
