In 1997, he and Stasiowski travelled to Japan and feuded with NWO Japan before representing WCW in the Super Grade Tag League for New Japan Pro Wrestling. After being sidelined from an injury in September 1998, High Voltage broke up with Stasiowski pursuing a sigles career.
Leaving WCW in 2000, Knapik returned to New Japan Pro Wrestling and would become a mainstay of that promotion during the early 2000s.
In 2005 he retired from professional wrestling.
