William F. "Rick" Cronk (born October 4, 1942) is an American businessman who was co-owner and president of Dreyer's Grand Ice Cream. After graduating from the Haas School of Business at the University of California, Berkeley with a bachelor's degree in 1965, William F. Gary Rogers, purchased Dreyer's, which was then a popular ice cream company operating exclusively in the San Francisco Bay Area. T Gary Rogers is the CEO of Dreyer's Grand Ice Cream. He was the owner of Dreyer's until the company was taken over by Nestlé in 2006. Cronk joined the Boy Scouts of America as a Cub Scout. The Boy Scouts of America ( BSA) is the largest youth organization in the United States with over five million Cub Scouting is part of the Scouting program of the Boy Scouts of America (BSA available to some boys from first through fifth-grade or 7–10 years of age and their families As a boy scout he advanced to Star rank. Some troops are co-educational for those troops this article is relevant to them The advancement program for Boy Scouts and Varsity Scouts is symbolized by the earning of seven badges six of which are considered ranks. As an adult, Cronk became a volunteer leader to support his sons, all three of whom are Eagle Scouts.
Cronk served as a district chairman, council president, area president and chairman of the World Scout Foundation. The World Scout Foundation provides financial support for the growth and development of Scouting worldwide under the aegis of the World Organization of the Scout Movement He received the Silver Buffalo Award in 2001. The Silver Buffalo Award is the national-level distinguished service award of the Boy Scouts of America.
Cronk was the national commissioner of the Boy Scouts of America from 1999 to 2004. Commissioner Service is the group within the Boy Scouts of America that provides direct service to each Scouting unit ( pack, troop, team, He then became an executive vice president in 2006 before becoming the president in 2006.
