A revival is a restaging of a former hit play at a later date. A play, or stageplay, is a form of Literature written by a Playwright, almost always consisting of Dialogue between Fictional characters New material may be added.

A filmed version of a play is said to be an adaptation. In the Film industry, a feature film is a Film made for initial distribution in theaters and being the "main attraction" of the screening This requires the writing of a screenplay.
