Despite being a soldier since childhood, Reccoa was quiet and soft spoken but easygoing and affable. Her favorite pastime was taking care of the plants that she kept in her quarters. Reccoa, admittedly, had no political or personal agendas of her own so this is why she could drift from one cause to another. She sometimes confided to others that she wouldn't know how to live without danger in her life and that might be why she often volunteered for dangerous missions. To prove herself, she was forced by Colonel Bask Om to lead a mission that will use poison gas (the same type used in the 30-Bunch incident) to exterminate another colony. Reluctantly, she carried out the mission hoping that Kamille and Argama would arrive in time to stop her. Although he did, Reccoa was unable to stall giving the order to her wingmen to carry out Bask's orders and millions of colonists are killed. Reccoa was later transferred to Scirocco (a powerful newtype) on Jupitoris. Scirocco told her that the men on Argama did not understand her and that with him she could find fulfillment. Thus she becomes one of Scirocco's pilots, piloting the prototype Pallas Athena. The anime does not state for certain whether Scirocco (a powerful Newtype) was using natural charisma and psychology or powerful Newtype abilities to brainwash Reccoa. Psychology (from Greek grc ψῡχή psȳkhē, "breath life soul" and grc -λογία -logia) is an Academic and Later scenes in the series also showed that Scirocco was using Reccoa as a target of jealousy from his other moll, Sara Zabiarov so that she would push herself harder for him. No indication was given that Reccoa was unhappy aboard Argama prior to meeting Scriocco and her betrayal was initially met with disbelief. In battle, Reccoa met Kamille and Fa who unsuccessfully attempted to convince her to return to AEUG. During the last battle, in revenge for Bask's cruel order to poison the colonists, Reccoa intentionally fired at the bridge of Bask's ship, Dogosse Gierre destroying it and him.
