Opened November 2003, REDCAT, the Roy and Edna Disney/CalArts Theater is the downtown Los Angeles exhibition venue of the California Institute of the Arts. Roy Oliver Disney ( June 24, 1893 &ndash December 20, 1971) was with his younger brother Walt Disney, co-founder of what is now The California Institute of the Arts, commonly referred to as CalArts, is located in Valencia California, a suburb of Los Angeles California. Frank Owen Gehry CC (born Ephraim Owen Goldberg, February 28, 1929) is a Pritzker Prize -winning Architect The Walt Disney Concert Hall at 111 South Grand Avenue in Downtown Los Angeles, California is the fourth hall of the Los Angeles Music Center. The lounge offers espresso, beer, wine, liquor, and free Wi-Fi connection, as well as being an outlet for Dutton's Bookstore. Programming at REDCAT features experimental dance, theater, music, film and visual arts exhibitions from around the world. It is often comapred to The Kitchen in New York. REDCAT was named for Roy and Edna Disney as a term of Lillian Disney's will. Roy O. Disney was Walt Disney's brother. Mrs. Disney's initial gift of $50 million was increased by members of the Disney family, including Roy Disney, to an estimated total of $84. 5 million.
