A Quijada is a percussion instrument used in Afro-Peruvian Landó music. Landó is an Afro-Peruvian form of music in the Musica criolla genre It is build with the jawbone of a donkey, horse or cow, and is weathered until the molars rattle in place. The playing technique involves rattling the instrument with a stick.
