Qardho (Gardo) is a small, historic city in the central Puntland area of Somalia. Puntland is a region in northeastern Somalia, centered on Garowe ( Nugaal region whose leaders declared it to be an autonomous state in 1998 Somalia ( Soomaaliya; الصومال) officially the Somali Republic ( Jamhuuriyadda Soomaaliya, جمهورية الصومال) and formerly known It is the capital of Qardho District in the Karkaar Region.
