Biography
Pyruz came to the United States in 1977 to finish school but because he had a passion for music, he and his best friend Ebi Hamidieh started a band called Shish O Haft in San Francisco in 1984. The United States of America —commonly referred to as the The City and County of San Francisco is the fourth most populous city Although he had originally wanted to be a drummer, he became a singer-guitarist.
In 1987 Pyruz met Shahbal Shabpareh, the founder of Black Cats. Pyruz moved to Los Angeles and became the band's lead singer. Los Angeles (lɑˈsændʒələs los ˈaŋxeles in Spanish) is the largest City in the state of California and the American West Together they released three successful albums.
Pyruz left the band in April 1999 to pursue a solo career. His first solo album, New Love, became a bestseller with its hit single "Baby Joon. " He released two more albums that performed well, producing many hits like "Djembe", "Khaastegaari" and "Setaareh Baroon".
Today Pyruz performs with his band The Romantix, and lives in Los Angeles.
