The Purple-naped Lory, Lorius domicella is a forest-dwelling parrot endemic to the islands of Seram, Ambon, and perhaps also Haruku and Saparua, South Maluku, Indonesia. Carl Linnaeus (Latinized as Carolus Linnaeus, also known after his ennoblement as, May 23 new style (13 May old style 1707 who laid the foundations for Seram (formerly Ceram, also called Seran or Serang is an Island in the Maluku province of Indonesia. Saparua is an island east of Ambon Island in the Indonesian province of Maluku. The Republic of Indonesia ( (Republik Indonesia is a Country in Southeast Asia. It is considered vulnerable, the main threat being from trapping for the cage-bird trade.
