Acting was her passion since childhood - Her father and uncle had done various of Gujarati plays - though she started with a short modelling workshop. She went to Pune for higher studies and had almost finished her junior college when her pictures were sent to Balaji Telefilms and she got a call for an audition for Kasamh Se and Ram Kapoor as her co-star. Ram Kapoor (born 1 September 1973) is a television actor He is best known for his role as Jai Walia in india tv drama show Kasamh Se She just turned 17 when her career began on Kasamh Se and left her studies for a while. Now she is continuing with correspondence course. She has recently started her shooting for her first movie Rock On in February 2008 and Farhan Akhtar as her co-star. Kasamh Se is the serial that Prachi Desai starred in and got her fame on Zee TV.
