Plopsaland De Panne is a theme park located near the town of De Panne on the Belgian coast. De Panne is a Municipality located along the North Sea coast of the Belgian province of West Flanders. West Flanders (West-Vlaanderen is the westernmost province of the Flemish Region also named Flanders, in Belgium. The Kingdom of Belgium is a Country in northwest Europe. Since the foundation of the park in 2000, the figures of the popular Belgian and Dutch figures of Studio 100 can be found. Studio 100 is a Flemish Company that produces popular Children's television series and owns three Amusement parks and four Musical ensembles All the attractions have a theme from one of the soaps or musicbands of the group. There are attractions of Kabouter Plop, Samson en Gert, Big en Betsy, Piet Piraat and Wizzy en Woppy. Kabouter Plop (Plop the Gnome) is the eponymous protagonist in a television series by Studio 100, aimed at children Samson en Gert is a Flemish - Belgian Children's television series produced by Gert Verhulst, Danny Verbiest and Hans Bourlon Piet Piraat is a Flemish - Belgian children's program written and produced by Studio 100.
In 2006 there opened 3 new attractions: the SuperSplash (in a whole new Piratezone), the SpringFlyer ("Spring" is a popular soap on the Belgian television, is Dutch for "Jump") and a K3 museum. The park has 4 roller coasters, with no inversion. The coaster "Dongo's race" (in the Wizzy & Woppy area) is the oldest coaster in Belgium and opened in 1976. The SuperSplash (a Mack SuperSplash/watercoaster) opened in 2006.
