Pishin district has very significant place in Balochistan province, as most of the skilled and educated people working in and around Balochistan belong to Pishin. The tehsil Huramzai is enjoying particular status for its talented and educated youths.
One of living legends is the talented youth from Bostan Shoaib Khan Panezai s/o Alamgir khan, Who for the first time in the history of First-Class cricket of Balochistan province scored 884 Runs in 10 matches of Quad-e-Azam trophy 2007 and remained second highest scorer whole over the country. He also represented the prestigious cricket club Morley CC 1889 in Bradford league. The players of Huramzai are very familiar figures in Balochistan in the fields of Cricket & Football. When it comes to Cricket, Star Cricket Club of Pishin city is one of the best cricket club in the district. It has produced one of the best players of cricket in Balochistan. In Pishin District basically four tribes are living Namely Tareen, Kakar, Achakzai, and Syed. Pishin has very good soil for production of good quality apple, cherry, almond, grapes, plum etc. The main source of income for the large number of population is these orchards, despite livestock keeping.
