Disaster at Winged Foot
At the 2006 U.S. Open at Winged Foot, Mickelson finished second to Geoff Ogilvy after one of the most memorable final hole collapses in major championship golf. Demonstrating grace after even the toughest defeats, showing appreciation to legions of his fans and always honoring the traditions and history of the game has made Mickelson one of the most popular players ever to play on the Tour.
