Corryton is a small unincorporated community in northeastern Knox County, Tennessee, United States, about 15 miles north of Knoxville He currently plays in bluegrass band Grasstowne with partners Steve Gulley and Alan Bibey. Bluegrass music is a form of American roots music, and is a sub-genre of Country music. Grasstowne released their first CD titled "The Road Headin' Home" in August 2007. In December 2007, the CD hit #1 on the National Bluegrass Chart exactally one year after the band was formed.
